Terms of service
Last updated 8 October 2026 · Draft under legal review
These terms are an agreement between your organisation and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”), which runs ChurchPod. By creating an account you accept them on your organisation's behalf, and you confirm you're allowed to.
The service
ChurchPod turns your church's recordings into podcast episodes, transcripts, study materials and captioned clips. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something you rely on, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at admin@churchpod.co if you think someone else has access.
Your content
- You keep ownership of everything you upload or link, and of what ChurchPod makes from it.
- You give us permission to store, process and transform that content only to provide the service to you. That includes sending it to the providers listed in our privacy policy.
- You confirm you have the rights to the recordings you use, and to the music, readings and other material in them. Worship music played during a service often needs its own licence (for example a streaming or podcast licence) before it can be published. Getting that licence is your responsibility, not ours.
- Only use recordings you are entitled to use. Don't upload or link other people's content without permission.
AI-generated material
Transcripts, summaries, study guides, captions, social posts and clip suggestions are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, including misheard words and misquoted scripture. Review everything before you publish or share it. You are responsible for what you publish.
Other platforms
Features that work with YouTube, Google Drive, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and similar services depend on those platforms, and their own terms apply. They can change or block access without notice, for example YouTube refusing a download. When that happens we'll tell you and offer another way, such as uploading the file directly, but we can't guarantee it.
Acceptable use
Don't use ChurchPod for anything unlawful, infringing, abusive or deceptive. Don't try to get into other accounts, get around usage limits, or overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Paid plans
Everything up to “Ready to publish” is free: adding a sermon, trimming and enhancing it, intro and outro music, voiceovers, rendering and reviewing the episode, and the clips tool. Publishing an episode and keeping your podcast feed hosted need a plan.
There is one plan, billed monthly at the price shown at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. The plan renews each month until you cancel. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email to the account address; a change never applies mid-period.
Cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. If a payment fails we retry for up to 14 days and tell you by email; if it still fails, the plan ends.
After a plan ends: for 30 days your feed keeps serving the episodes you already published, so listeners lose nothing straight away, but nothing new can be published. After those 30 days the feed is removed from podcast apps. Your stored audio is deleted 90 days after the plan ends. Your episode list, titles and descriptions are kept, and your feed address never changes, so restarting the plan before the deletion date restores your podcast exactly as it was.
Refunds for a partly used period are at our discretion; ask at admin@churchpod.co.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep ChurchPod running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or [AMOUNT] if you haven't paid anything.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using ChurchPod and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. What happens to your data afterwards is described in the privacy policy.
Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email the account address before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY]. Questions: admin@churchpod.co.
